The press is one of the important tools in society; It contributes to the formation of a set of intellectual dimensions related to the information of individuals within the same society, and brings them closer to their surroundings, and provides them with all the news about the topics they are interested in pursuing, such as: sports, art, general information, medical studies, and others.

In general, this means that there is a close link between the journalism and the society to which it is directed,  because it is basically the product of this society and the culture of its people  , and it serves their goals, visions and aspirations.


The main objective of the journalism is to convey news that is of interest and concerned with the affairs of society and its culture and not the interests of another society, so that information and news are presented as transparently as possible, in order to create an educated citizen who is aware of everything that is going on around him. This is in addition to analyzing the events behind the events and the news and developments that follow, and all of this leads to educating the community.

the journalism  highlights citizens’ issues and focuses on them for the public interest. It also provides knowledge of media agencies and their accompanying developments in order to produce realistic programs and publications that serve the citizen and focus on his interests.

The impact of the press on societies The press plays a role in creating a state of globalization among the different peoples of the world to form friendships among them and become aware of all the developments of events taking place in each other’s countries, transcending geographical borders and reflecting what is happening inside each country. For information to educate people with all new events, and from all of this, we find that the press has a strong impact on influencing the course of life and the way people think, whether positively or negatively. The following is an explanation of some of the effects related to the press:

Every human society has its own culture that distinguishes it from others societies through the values ​​and customs that this culture carries different behaviors and knowledge, and patterns and ways of life, which acquired by an individual in terms of being a member of his society, and despite what Culture holds it of great importance, and in the face of transformations and developments the profound impacts witnessed by the various humanitarian groups in various fields, it has become certain that they are no longer an intellectual luxury, nor confined to a particular social class, it has become necessary reconsidering our conception of culture, as we should not look at it as a requirement of luxuries, but rather a vital necessity of the necessities of life that must be provided to all members of society, and here lies the functions of the media, especially the cultural press. and its importance in ensuring the actual participation of its receiving audience in order to build the required civilization.
