News is that part of communication that keeps us
informed of the changing events, issues, and characters in the world outside.
Media is considered as a “mirror” of modern society, infect, it is the media,
which shapes our lives. They, also have an impact on how individuals see the
world and may cause them to alter their perspectives. In today’s world, the
media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the
innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that is power. Because they
control the minds of the masses. The mass media play a critical role in the
organization of public opinion. As a result, the media has become an essential
aspect of our lives.
I explained below about the role of TV news channel
(Zee News) and the Newspaper (The Times of India) and their responsibility to
society:
Both two media change of:
1. Information
2. Education
3. Entertainment
4. Advancement
5. Correlation of parts in society
1. Print Media: It is through the newspaper, books,
and magazines this they give information about music, movies, and current
affairs once a day.
2. Television: It also gives the same about news and
entertainment. However, here are some of the significant differences this
television gives 24/7 news, entertainment like music, movies, ads, and the
latest gossips. By switching the channels, you can watch whatever they show if
you get bored. Television is a fantastic educational tool. It broadens
knowledge of different cultures, promotes tolerance and global understanding of
international issues. Through current affairs, discovery, lifestyle, cooking

curiosity.

The Times of India: The Times of India is an Indian
English-language daily newspaper and digital news media owned and managed by
The Times Group. It is the third-largest newspaper in India by circulation and
the largest selling English-language daily in the world. More than 13.5 million
readers wake up to one of its 13 editions every morning. It is one of India’s
most influential papers, and its voice has frequently coincided with that of
the national government. After Indian independence, The Times’s insistence on
accuracy, its avoidance of sensationalism, its serious tone, and its coverage

became known as an intellectual newspaper. Its coverage of international news,
like that of the other great Indian dailies, is thorough, accounting for a
quarter of its editorial space. It circulates nationally and covers a broad
range of subject matter with attractive makeup and a readable style. It is one

The events have shaped the adoption of television and newspapers:
Humans have had some form of print technology since at least 800 A.D. However,
modern printing technology is associated with Johann Gutenberg’s. The
availability of such technology made it possible for individuals to curate news
content and share it with their communities. With the development of
newspapers, It became possible to spread ideas and current events, which
fuelled the coming changes for mass communications. Over time, the concept of
newspapers was tried and tested until the first publications emerged.
The publication highlights events that were happening
at the time, such as Native Americans appointing a day of Thanksgiving, as well
as news regarding “The Western Expedition against Canada.” This publication
paved the way for modern newspapers, and although it was limited to text during
this period, was still able to accurately document the significant events
of the time. The reception of newspapers has always been present, along with the
desire for individuals to stay knowledgeable and connected. Because of this
desire, newspapers have grown and shifted to the point where they are. The
delivery of print news evolved from Boston’s Public Occurrences Both Foreign
and Domestic, to publications such as USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and
The Washington Post. While print media was the primary method of delivering and
consuming information, audio mediums such as radio soon entered the picture.
In the 1940s, television made its way to America. Television sales took off in the late 1940s following the start of individual stations in the largest cities. Because starting and maintaining a television station is very expensive, this undertaking was initially limited to big cities.“Of the 102,000 TV sets in the United States in early 1948, two-thirds were in the New York area.” The television served as a centralized element of the home because it combined everything that print and radio could provide, in addition to expanding on those capabilities. Television has evolved over the years, from grainy black and white broadcasts to ultra HD screens with internet and streaming capabilities. Televisions used to be seen as a luxury, with only 0.4 percent of the U.S. owning a set in 1948. In the years after its release, that percentage increased and continues to increase to the point where televisions are now seen as commonplace, and it is not out of the ordinary to have multiple sets in one household. With the increasing connectivity of digital devices, TV is complemented by the accessibility of the internet and digital media such as podcasting.
Technological
Transitions Shape television and newspapers Industries.
With the invention of the television, print newspapers
have faced challenges over the decades, yet publishers have always adapted and
persevered. However, the Internet is proving to be a far more dangerous foe to
the traditional newspaper model. Faced with such an adversary, small and large
newspapers alike may have no choice but to abandon their traditional methods
for a more innovative approach.
Faced with such challenges, newspapers have no choice
but to adapt. Readers demand instant access to news, so newspapers have created
online editions. Some of these editions are free, whereas others are offered at
a reduced rate or licensed through digital media, such as the Kindle, Nook, or
iPhone. Such formats virtually eliminate print and distribution costs, so the
newspaper feeds the news more quickly and efficiently. At the present time,
these formats only supplement the traditional print format, but given time,
they may prevail as the only available option.
Television existed before World War II but really began to take off in the
1950s. In 1947, there were 178,000 television sets made in the United States;
five years later, there were 15 million. Radio, cinema, and live theater all
saw a decline in the face of this new medium that allowed viewers to be
entertained with sound and moving pictures without having to leave their homes.
After much debate, the United States opted for the
market. Competing commercial stations (including the radio powerhouses of CBS
and NBC) owned stations and sold advertising and commercial-driven programming
dominated. Britain took another track with its government-managed British
Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
